Created by the draining of glacial lakes thousands of years ago, the gorge has steeps sides and the valley floor is littered with huge boulders and is a national natural landmark. A gristmill built in the 1800s is open for tours. |

To limit the spread of insect pests, the use of local firewood is strongly recommended. All firewood must be burned prior to your departure. McConnells Mill Pavilion Several nonpowered boat access areas exist along the Slippery Rock Creek within the park. Parking is limited. |
